Muhammad Faizan Ijaz was born on 31 January 1995. He holds a B.E. in Energy Engineering and works in the solar-energy sector, where he currently serves as Operations Manager for the Southern Region. Alongside his professional responsibilities, he serves as General Secretary of Minhaj Youth League Karachi.
His religious and organizational journey began in 2012 after he moved to Surjani Town. He became associated with Masjid Irfan-ul-Quran, a mosque linked with Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran, and had the opportunity to assist with its care and management at a time when the number of regular worshippers was limited. This service became the starting point of his wider religious and organizational journey.
During the same period, he met Shah Sahib Syed Zahid Ali Naqshbandi, a spiritual guide of the Naqshbandi tradition. Their discussions — including conversations on Einstein's theory of relativity and the relationship between religion and science — had a deep influence on his intellectual and spiritual development. Inspired by this relationship, he took bay'ah under Shah Sahib's spiritual guidance. Through Shah Sahib, who had been associated with Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran since 1982, Faizan also became increasingly familiar with the movement's message and activities.
From 2013 onward, he began regularly listening to the lectures of Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and also used social media to share the movement's message. Over time, he found a stronger intellectual harmony between his interest in religion, scientific inquiry and rational thought, which further strengthened his association with the movement.
In 2015, he attended a formal movement programme for the first time when Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri visited the Boys Scout Auditorium. He later participated in the Zarb-e-Aman campaign and, together with Shah Sahib Syed Zahid Ali Naqshbandi, helped carry the message of peace and reform to approximately 300 homes. This became an important practical phase in his dawah and organizational work.
In 2016, during a visit by Faheem Khan to the Surjani Town mosque, he formally became a Rafeeq of Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran. The same year, at the Milad Conference held at Nishtar Park Karachi, he had the opportunity to see Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in person for the first time. During this period he was also entrusted with the presidency of Minhaj Youth League Surjani Town, beginning a more structured role in youth dawah, training and organization.
In 2017, he completed the Irfan-ul-Quran Course, which broadened his study of the Qur'an and strengthened the intellectual foundations of his religious learning. In 2018, he observed I'tikaf at the Minhaj-ul-Quran central secretariat in Lahore, where he also had the opportunity to sit in the company of and meet Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
In 2023, under the organizational structure formed at the divisional level, he was assigned the responsibility of Nazim-e-Rafaqat. His work included maintaining contact with members, strengthening organizational relationships and encouraging deeper association with the movement.
On 16 August 2026, after years of organizational involvement, dawah activity and practical work with young people, Muhammad Faizan Ijaz was appointed General Secretary of Minhaj Youth League Karachi. The appointment represents an important stage in a journey that began with service at a local mosque in 2012 and developed through a series of town and divisional responsibilities.
Professionally, he has developed experience in solar-energy systems, field operations, technical work, team management, after-sales issues and operational planning. His career progressed from technical responsibilities into management, and as Operations Manager for the Southern Region he oversees field operations, project implementation, teams, technical matters and after-sales service across the region.
Religion, learning, science, service, organization and youth development remain central themes in his personal and organizational outlook. He seeks to encourage young people to combine religious awareness with education, scientific understanding, ethical development and practical skills so that they can play a constructive role in society.
