Muhammad Owais Aslam was born on 12 January 1997 in Karachi, Pakistan. His early education began at a madrasa, where he memorized the Qur'an and studied Tajweed. He later completed his matriculation from Orangi Town and intermediate education from Jinnah College. He also completed a diploma in Power Energy, earned a B.A. as a private candidate, and pursued additional short courses including Ship Electric training from Karachi Shipyard and Hospitality Management.
His organizational journey with Tehreek Minhaj-ul-Quran began during the 2007 I'tikaf, where he also had the opportunity to meet Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. The meeting became an important early influence on his religious and organizational outlook.
His involvement gradually developed into practical organizational work. He participated in the historic gathering at Minar-e-Pakistan in 2012 and the movement's sit-in in 2013. After returning to Karachi, he was entrusted with the responsibility of General Secretary of Orangi Town UC-3.
During the 2014 Inqilab campaign, Owais worked to communicate the message of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to the public by arranging projector screenings of speeches and messages at different locations in Orangi Town. This period strengthened his experience in grassroots dawah, public awareness and organizational activity.
As his involvement continued, he was entrusted with further responsibilities at different organizational levels. Since 2023, he has been part of the Karachi zonal team, where he also served as Secretary Social Media and contributed to communication and organizational activities across the city.
A major area of interest in his work has been strengthening the relationship of young people with the Qur'an. In 2020, he contributed to the launch of the Irfan-ul-Quran Course at Masjid Irfan-ul-Quran in Surjani Town, with the aim of encouraging young people to develop a deeper understanding, love and practical connection with the teachings of the Qur'an.
One piece of guidance from Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has remained particularly important in Owais's outlook: to remove fear while serving religion and the country, respond to anger with love, and promote peace and compassion in society. He has sought to carry this principle into his organizational and social work.
His approach to youth development is centered on the belief that education and professional progress should be accompanied by spiritual awareness, good character and service to humanity. He encourages young people to dedicate part of their time to helping others, viewing service not only as assistance to a particular community but as a responsibility toward humanity as a whole.
In August 2026, Muhammad Owais Aslam was appointed Secretary Finance of Minhaj Youth League Karachi. He views organizational responsibility as a trust that should be carried with sincerity, integrity and discipline.
His broader vision is to help develop young people who remain connected with the Qur'an, inspired by the love and character of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, intellectually grounded and committed to serving society. His journey reflects a continuing effort to combine religious learning, organizational service, youth development and humanitarian values.
