Sarim Noor was born on 2 December in Karachi, Pakistan. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Karachi and is pursuing the Chartered Management Accountant (CMA) qualification. He works in the nonprofit (NGO) sector, where he currently serves as Director of Operations. Alongside this, he serves voluntarily as President of Minhaj Youth League Karachi.
Looking back at his journey, Sarim often recalls a brief incident from Rabi-ul-Awwal 2014. During a three-day religious and preaching journey, he noticed a poster of Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on a rickshaw and casually remarked:
“I don't understand him.”
At the time, it was simply an ordinary comment, but years later Sarim came to view it as a personal reflection on the beginning of an unexpected spiritual journey. In Sarim's words: “My intuition tells me that perhaps this line did not please my Lord, or perhaps God willed: if you do not understand him — meaning My beloved servant Tahir-ul-Qadri — then I will make you understand.” What then began almost on its own has continued to this day. In that journey, his childhood religious teacher, Allama Hafiz Muhammad Bilal Durrani (Ustad Ji), played a very important role entirely on his own initiative. Sarim had not discussed Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri with Ustad Ji at all; nevertheless, one day Ustad Ji called Sarim, gave him the book Iman ka Markaz-o-Mehwar and recordings of Qur'an aur Azmat-e-Mustafa ﷺ and Kainat Mein Huzoor ﷺ Jaisa Na Koi, and advised him:
“If you want to keep your aqidah correct, read and listen to him.”
Rather than immediately becoming associated with Minhaj-ul-Quran, Sarim began listening, reading and researching independently. During this process, he also encountered allegations and material about Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri that he later came to regard as false propaganda. As such claims appeared before him, deeper independent research gradually brought their wider context and answers to light. Without seeking clarification from others, continued study and verification strengthened his intellectual and spiritual connection with Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and the broader message of Minhaj-ul-Quran.
By August 2014, this connection had developed into a strong desire to see Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri in person. Sarim travelled from Karachi to Lahore and, on 9 August 2014, saw him personally for the first time in Model Town. On 14 August, he travelled with the Inqilab March from Lahore to Islamabad.
Around 2015, his individual involvement developed into formal organizational service when Rao Tayyab included him in the Minhaj Youth League Karachi zonal team. Sarim continues to regard this first formal organizational opportunity as an important contribution to his journey. His initial prominent responsibility was as Secretary Social Media, followed over the years by roles including Secretary Information and Deputy General Secretary. During these responsibilities, he regularly visited towns across Karachi, often accompanying the President, General Secretary, Nazim and other organizational leaders, giving him direct exposure to grassroots organizational work and local teams.
His organizational journey also expanded into media responsibilities through Minhaj Media Academy. Sarim particularly credits Mirza Junaid Ali for trusting him with formal media responsibilities and helping him move forward in this field. His work included media management, electronic media coverage, publicity and program production.
Media also became an important part of Sarim's wider creative identity. Through his own digital platforms and YouTube work, he developed programs combining education, awareness and accessible storytelling. Productions such as Rah-e-Ishq and Ittehad-e-Ummat focused on religious understanding, love, unity and mutual respect, while Tolo, Phir Bolo used public interaction to discuss civic, social and democratic themes. His broader approach has been to use media not only for entertainment but also to encourage awareness, empathy and meaningful public conversation.
His work across education, media and youth activities has received recognition at different stages. He received the Best Student Award in 2008 and, in 2017, the Most Active Worker Award, known as Nishaan-e-Wafa, and in 2018, he received the Best Youth Leadership Award from Minhaj Youth League Pakistan. In 2019, he received the Best Presentation Award from The English Times and the Best Social Media Worker Award from Irfan-ul-Quran Academy. In 2025, he received the Best Performance Award for his youth, organizational and social media work, presented by Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri.
On 16 August 2026, Sarim Noor was appointed President of Minhaj Youth League Karachi after more than a decade of involvement in digital media, organizational service and youth activities. His focus includes strengthening the Karachi organizational structure, reconnecting experienced workers, involving new young people and extending active organization from towns toward Union Council level. His journey has brought together religious learning, media, organizational service and professional management. Through his current role, he aims to encourage a youth environment where religious awareness is supported by education, ethical development, practical skills and constructive service to society.
