Aghosh Orphan Care Home is a project of Minhaj Welfare Foundation, operating under Minhaj-ul-Quran International, located in Shah Latif Town, Karachi. It provides orphaned and vulnerable children a safe, family-like residential environment along with complete educational support — from their earliest schooling all the way through to professional life.
Aghosh takes care of every aspect of a child's upbringing — education, healthcare, nutrition and shelter — so that no orphaned child is left without the care and opportunities they deserve. Minhaj Welfare Foundation runs several such Aghosh homes across Pakistan, supporting thousands of children nationwide.

On 5 February, the Karachi branch of Aghosh Orphan Care Home was formally inaugurated by the President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and Chairman Aghosh Orphan Care Homes, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, who cut the ribbon to mark the opening of the complex. The ceremony was attended by the President of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Mr. Qazi Zahid Hussain, PAT Secretary General Mr. Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Director Aghosh Complex Karachi Mr. Masood Usmani, and Mr. Zahid Latif, along with a large number of office-bearers and well-wishers of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and the Minhaj Welfare Foundation.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that caring for orphaned and destitute children is among the most sacred forms of service to humanity, and lamented that the state has consistently failed to take proper responsibility for such vulnerable children — a gap which the Minhaj Welfare Foundation strives to fill through institutions like Aghosh. He announced that, building on the Karachi centre, the Minhaj Welfare Foundation plans to establish 12 more Aghosh institutions across the country to extend this mission of care and rehabilitation to orphaned children nationwide.
Director Aghosh Complex Karachi, Mr. Masood Usmani, said in his remarks that the Karachi complex has been designed with a capacity to house and care for 500 children, and that, going forward, the Minhaj Welfare Foundation plans to set up medical clinics and an ambulance service across 14 towns and 6 districts of Karachi, so that quality healthcare support reaches deserving families across the city.
